Halloween!!! Our favorite time of Year!!
Actually, Christmas is really our favorite, but Halloween is a close second. This year we went as a family of pirates, and Trystan was a parrot. I would carry him around on my shoulders, and got a kick out of it. Sydney is really putting sentences together now, and always says to Trystan "Hi Little Guy" and "I love you baby Trystan", it's pretty dang cute. We also took her trick or treating for the first time, and it was a lot of fun. I don't think she has quite grasped the concept of knocking on a door, saying "trick or treat" and getting rewarded for it with lots of candy. So I ate all of her candy, she didn't care. I know, I am a mean father ;) Not much more going on. Celest has been busy with the kids, but she also likes to work out everyday at the gym. We got her a membership, but I told her the minute she stops using it, it is going to be cancelled. I just hate those things that are used for the first few months and then are never used again, yet continue being paid for. My pet peeve. She is doing great though. Other than that, we are doing great!!

Sydney and Trystan
These are just random pictures that I would like to share. Sydney is growing very quickly and has begun repeating everything that comes out of our mouths, so we need to be more aware of what we are saying!! We will just be driving in the car and Celest and I were just conversing, and we look back and hear Sydney just saying every word in the conversation to herself. It was really funny. Guess you had to be there. We also curled Miss Sydney's hair and man it was cute!
Trystan is also getting so big. I would guess he probably weighs 11 lbs now. As he should, he is constantly nursing. It is a lot of fun having two kids, and the extra workload is well worth it. Not much more has been going on, as we have been isolated to the house with the newborn, but if you are ever in the area, drop in and see us!!

Our New Arrival!!
Trystan Jeffery McGuire was born on Sunday, August 19 2007 at 3:18 pm. His weight was the same as Sydney at 7 lbs 5 oz and measured 19 cm in length. We feel really blessed to have another healthy, beautiful baby and it was quite the experience bringing him into this world. Celest woke up at 1:00 am on Sunday morning having some intense contractions that weren't necessarily painful, but uncomfortable. She just endured those contractions until we arrived at the hospital at 9:45 am. At that time, she was checked and her cervix was dialated 7 cm. We were both excited that this would be a fairly smooth birth. Little did we know.......About 45 min later, she was dialated 10 cm and it was time to start pushing. After about 30 minutes pushing, there was very little progress being made, so the doctor was able to determine that the baby was posterior and wasn't moving down the birth canal. Our doctor attempted turning the baby around several times, which resulted in a lot of pain for Celest, and we decided to try our luck with an epidural so the doctor could do what he needed without Celest suffering as much. Again, the epidural was unsucessful, and we had one last attempt before resorting to a cesarian. The doctor suggest using the vacuum to rotate the baby, and fortunate for us it worked!! We were so relieved. In all, Celest was pushing for 3.5-4 hours. She is such a tuffie. I wish I were that tough. Anyways, it was quite the ordeal, but well worth it.

Baby Boy's Room
Yes, he will have a name, we don't know what quite yet. We just haven't agreed on one. As for now, it is the guest bedroom, until Sydney outgrows the crib and we move it in there. Anyways, Celest did a great job with getting his room ready. Also, I am posting a picture of this cute little chair that goes with the theme.

Manti Pageant
We attended the Manti Pageant this year. I have been many times, but for Celest and Sydney, this was a first. We really enjoyed ourselves there, and sat on the temple grounds to watch the show. The weather was great, and snow cones and funnel cake were on the agenda. Sydney is learning very rapidly and now is repeating any word out of our mouths. So we need to be careful of what we say!!
California Here We Come!!!
I recently returned from California a couple of nights ago. Celest and I went out to visit friends and family in San Diego, and I returned Monday night, and Celest and Sydney are still there enjoying the beautiful scenery in Santa Barbara. We enjoyed Seaport Village in San Diego, Legoland, and the beach. Sydney LOVED the beach, we had to restrain her from running into the ocean. Good thing she still can run very fast. Anyways, here are some pictures from the trip for you all to enjoy!

No more white walls
Island Park/Yellowstone Memorial weekend trip
Over the holiday weekend, we were able to enjoy some time up in Island Park Idaho which is about 30 miles southwest of Yellowstone. We were invited by our neighbors to stay at a beautiful cabin and had an enjoyable time with 6 other families. Some of the highlights of our trip were encounters with buffalo, bears, and being ill. I was amazed at the wildlife there is in that part of the country. Sydney had a great time, and when we would see an animal, she would call it a "dog" no matter what it was. Anyways, here are some pictures from the trip.

Time for a bath!!
I love this picture
Sydney and Cousin Easton
As a family, we were invited to attend a going away party for some of my co-workers at JetBlue. It was good to see them again, as it had been a while since I parted ways with JetBlue. Sydney loved bowling. We would place the ball on the bowling ball rack, and she would push it down the alley, and then do it over and over. Came close to a strike a couple of times.
