We are happy to welcome 2008, and it just seems like not too long ago I was trying to picture how it would be to have kids. I gotta admit, I just couldn't picture it. I always wondered what they would look like; if they would look like me, or Celest. Everyone says Sydney is a spitting image of me (Todd), and I think I would have to agree. She definitely has some McGuire traits in her, especially when it comes to being independent. Don't even try telling her what to do, she'll rip you a new one. One trait I have noticed that is similar to Celest's is her love of life. She is just so happy to be alive and always looking for someone to please. She listens really well and does as she is told. As for Trystan, he just lays there and smiles. We haven't been able to determine who he looks like, so we welcome your opinion. Trystan and Sydney have started playing together. He really looks up to his big sister, and is constantly observing her every move. It has been busy having a toddler and a 6 month old, but well worth the work. A couple weeks ago, U2 3D was in theaters, and Jason got a group of us together. Celest and I hadn't been out on a date for a long time, so it was nice to get out. Thanks to Hunny and Poppa for watching the little ones! We also spent some time in Sundance for the film festival. Celest's parents had a condo for the night on Main Street, so we enjoyed seeing movie stars, eating out, and swimming. We also built a snowcave out of the snow piles in our driveway, but I must say, I am tired of shoveling. I shoveled so much snow the other day, that I had blisters on my hands. In the words of Kramer, "Mother Nature is a maaaaaad scientist!" There is also a picture of Sydney going down a slide in the playplace at Boondocks. For those of you who haven't taken your kids there, it is inexpensive fun for all. Celest and I fight over who gets to go in there with Sydney. Seriously, it is that cool!! McDonald's playplace doesn't even come close!

Goodbye 2007
Boy 2007 was a fast year. Some events that happened in the McGuire Family in 2007 were:
Todd started a new job. He works as the financial controller and is really enjoying it.
We welcomed a new addition to our family. Trystan Jeffery. He has been a tremendous blessing in our family. He really likes to smile, and if you see him soon, you'll know what I am talking about.
Sydney turned 2. She is a lot of fun, and has really started to show more and more personality as she grows. Still working on the potty training though. She really likes hanging out with her cousin Easton. I have posted a picture of those two dancing together around Christmas. I thought I would also post a picture of Poppa and Hunny with Sydney and Trystan. Sydney really loves it when Grandma Hunny reads to her. I also posted a picture of Sydney on her birthday waiting for her friends to come over and play. She got that play table for her birthday, as well as the tea set. She really enjoys playing her her play room.
